According to a little tidbit of info over at the New York Post, chef Mario "Orange Clogs" Batali won't be back at the Food Network. "Sources" say that executives at the Food Network did not renew any of chef Batali's contracts, which include his own show "Molto Mario," and a spot as an Iron Chef on "Iron Chef America."
Guess that means we'll only be able to catch the Italian chef on his new show touring Spain with Gwyneth Paltrow on PBS this fall.
Either that, or in person at one of his bazillion Italian-themed restaurants in New York, Los Angeles (Mozza!), and Las Vegas.

Some people. I guess it frees up room and pay for another half-dozen Rachel Ray clones.

I think they're only doing repeats now, and usually a network would own the rights to play these no matter what happens to Mario. And it's one of those shows that's so packed with information that new shows are almost redundant.

In case this blog doesn't except html:

I agree with others who state that Bam Emeril is a lot over the top and has gotten stale. Please put some real talent on the network, get rid of Sandra Lee - I seriously think she has the personality of a Barbie doll. When I watch Food Network it is to learn to cook, not how to go to a party or set my table. Get back to the reason the network was created!
